A historical simulation
Por: André Geraque Kiffer
It was a major battle in which the US Marine Corps and Navy landed and finally captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Imperial Japanese Army (EIJ) during World War II. As there was the possibility of unfavorable tidal conditions along the eastern beaches, the V Corps issued an alternative plan that provided for a landing on the western beaches (Purple, Browns 1 and 2, Whites 1 and 2, Oranges 1 and 2). Trying to simulate the possibility of a Japanese victory would be unrealistic. So let's imagine another possibility for the inexorable American victory, trying to accelerate a secure conquest of the island and a reduction in the number of American casualties. Thus, we will try to take advantage of the relatively favorable factor of the number of access and carry out a simulation in which the maximum number of beaches would be used, with simultaneous landings in areas “A”, “B” and “C”.
